Toyota has launched a 'Trailblazer Lease' incentive program for the Mirai , aiming to invigorate stagnate sales.The hydrogen-powered car can now be obtained for just $349 per month for 36 months, with $2,499 due at signing and a 12,000-mile annual allowance.The sticker price hasn't dropped from its starting point at $58,365.The Japanese automaker expects fuel-cell vehicles and hybrids to dominate the market by 2050.Half of the vision remains a bit hazy as hydrogen vehicles continue to struggle.Hyundai's Tucson Fuel Cell was an early entry, arriving when California's refueling infrastructure consisted of less than a dozen stations.

PHOTO GALLERYWhile the Mirai isn't getting any pricier in 2017, fans of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles walking into a Toyota dealership can also qualify for an $8,000 federal tax credit and a $5,000 potential California rebate to go with the access they'll have to the state's HOV carpool lane.Furthermore, qualified customers will be eligible for the Mirai trailblazer program which offers purchase and ownership experience support, such as the 0% APR support for 60 months or 1.9% for 72 months.For 2017, the Mirai also comes with a new color option called Atmospheric Blue, complementing the existing Celestial Black, Elemental Silver and Nautical Blue colorways.On top of that, customers will be looking at the same comprehensive ownership experience as before, with services such as three years' worth of complimentary fuel (or $15,000 max), three years complimentary Safety Connect and Entune + hydrogen station finder app, three years 24/7 customer call support, ToyotaCare, an 8-year/100,000 mile warranty on key fuel cell vehicle components and a complimentary Rental Experience for seven days per year for three years.Next year, Mirai owners will have even more hydrogen stations at their disposal throughout California, which in turn should make them feel more at ease about driving a hydrogen-powered car.Speaking of power, the Mirai uses a fuel cell stack to generate electricity from a chemical reaction between hydrogen and oxygen, providing the driver with instant maximum torque upon acceleration.Now, if you're curious what that means for this type of car , then know that the Mirai can hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 9.6 seconds, and has a maximum speed of 178 km/h (110 mph).

The 2017 Toyota Mirai's MSRP remains the same as the 2016 model year.There is however, a small bump in the car's destination fee bringing the price to $58,365 including destination compared to last year's $58,325.That is however, before any incentives that include an $8,000 federal tax credit and $5,000 potential California rebate.
