2018 Toyota Tundra TRD SportThis isn't the first time Toyota has talked of spreading the TRD name to car trims. Since then, Toyota has been methodically spreading TRD trims across its trucks and SUVs to great sales success. It already offers a variety of aftermarket TRD parts such as high-performance exhausts and anti-sway bars. At the Chicago Auto Show this month, Toyota revealed an on-road TRD Sport for the 2018 Tundra and Sequoia. And as with Prius hybrids and the TRD trucks, Toyota families have been known to grow.

To remedy the concerns, Auto News reported that Toyota's expansion of the Toyota Racing Development will create a truck line with a sporty sub-brand which includes the 2018 Toyota Tundra TRD Sport version. However, despite the concerns of many Toyota pickup truck fans, the carmaker has finally decided to update the model.
