Spy photographers have managed to get up close and personal with the new Toyota Supra. If not, expect to see a turbocharged V6 from Toyota that may be further boosted with electrification. Riding on a platform that's the result of a collaboration between BMW and Toyota, the new Supra will only be offered as a coupe while the BMW Z5 will be a convertible.

The two reflectors are set into the bumper, meaning that a more refined version will make it to the production model. We now have spy shots of the upcoming Toyota Supra that weren't taken on dark, snow-covered roads. The close ups do provide a few new details.Out front, we can get a good look inside the large air intakes at the corners of the bumper. Our photographer managed to catch the car parked at a fuel station, meaning we could bring you some great stills of the still heavily camouflaged car.

Our spy photographers caught the Toyota Supra once again wearing design elements borrowed from the FT-1 concept. Check out the gallery for more photos of the upcoming Toyota Supra. The Toyota Supra will share a platform with the BMW Z5, which appears to be heading in a different design direction. Powertrain options for the Toyota Supra remain unknown. It's still hard to distinguish the shape of the headlights, as this is one of the many elements Toyota is trying its hardest to hide.
