Arconic announces mutli-year deal with Toyota

The company, with a plant in the Quad Cities, announced Monday a multi-year deal to provide aluminum to Toyota. According to Businesswire.com, Arconic is supplying aluminum to Toyota for its all-new Lexus RX. Arconic will supply Toyota from its plants in Riverdale, Iowa, and Danville, Illinois. We are proud to expand our relationship with Toyota," said Mark Vrablec, President of Arconic's Aerospace & Automotive Products business. The vehicle debuted last year and became Toyota's first vehicle in North America to feature aluminum exterior panels.

The Toyota deal came on the heels of another massive exclusive contract the company made with Airbus last November. That billion-dollar deal will put Arconic panels on every plane made by the aerospace giant. Arconic will be the sole aluminum sheet supplier for the Lexus RX. In addition to the Davenport plant, Arconic will also supply Toyota from its Danville, Illinois plant.
