Toyota South Africa told Xinhua which proven types of airbag inflators manufactured by Takata were found to have a possibility for moisture intrusion over time. "Toyota & many other motor industrialists worldwide are recalling vehicles for potentially defective Takata airbag inflators. At Toyota South Africa we have 730,000 vehicles influenced," said Mzolisi Witbooi, corporate public relations manager, Toyota South Africa.
