Toyota Kenya unveils Toyota Rush, its most affordable SUV
NAIROBI, Kenya, Aug 2 – In a bid to boost sales in the country, Toyota has unveiled a Sh3 million sports utility vehicle tagged Toyota Rush. Toyota Kenya Managing Director Arvinder Reel said the entry of the 4 wheel drive is expected to disrupt Kenya's used and new SUV market segment and address the existing new cars market gap in the country. The 'Rush' comes with a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout with large tyres that enable high-ground clearance needed for its all-terrain performance. Toyota Rush is an affordable full feature SUV that meets that aspiration at the fraction of the cost of importing a used SUV," Reel said. The entry of Toyota Rush comes as recent industry data shows a surge in sale of brand new cars in the market buoyed by enhanced consumer spending and a favorable macro-economic environment that has boosted spending power.
Toyota unveils 2nd-generation hydrogen fuel cell truck
as declared in Although it's now more onboard with EV technology that in the past, Toyota is still proudly championing hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell technologies as its preferred options. So much so, the Japanese auto giant has just unveiled the second-generation of its hydrogen fuel cell electric Class 8 truck in front of an audience of media and industry leaders during the Center for Automotive Research (CAR) Management Briefing Seminars in Northern Michigan. Even so, the company is still very much at the forefront of hydrogen fuel cell development, and the introduction of the new truck that's being known internally as "Beta" shows just how important the tech is to Toyota. This second iteration of the hydrogen fuel cell truck expands on the first version by extending the estimated range beyond the 300-mile mark on a single fill. The Beta vehicle will begin drayage operations in the autumn, when it will then increase the Ports' zero emission trucking capacity and reduce the environmental impact of drayage operations even further.collected by :Edison Noah
